Ashville and Pell City archers qualify for state meet in April

Both Ashville High School and Ashville Middle School won their divisions in the recent regional archery tournament at the Pell City Center.

Both Ashville teams had identical scores of 3,366 out of a possible 3,600.

Ashville’s Stephanie Whisenant was the top high school individual archer, with a score of 293 out of a possible 300.

Ashville’s Amanda Alexander was the top middle school individual archer, while Ashville’s Chase Roberts finished at the top of the elementary division.

Pell City finished second overall with a 3,134 out of a possible 3,600.

Both Ashville and Pell City qualified for the state meet at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in April.
