Ashville man killed in weekend crash

An Ashville man was killed in a single-car accident Saturday night.

St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell identified the victim as Michael Coy Nolin, 25, of Ashville.

Russell said the accident happened at about 9:50 p.m., Saturday at the 6500 block of St. Clair County Road 31 in Ashville.

He said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma.

Russell said the vehicle Nolin was driving left the road way, flipped, and the victim was ejected from the 1995 Honda Accord.

Russell said Nolin was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:11 p.m.

The Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the accident.
