Officials there have been awarded an $85,000 grant to be used in the new Distance Learning Lab.
What that means is that it not only connects the students at Eden to classrooms in the school system and vice versa, it connects them to classrooms in career tech, and eventually in colleges and universities, across the state and country.
It is wise use of technology, and it helps students have access to teaching and courses they might not have been able to otherwise.
We commend ECTC Director Christy Moore and her staff on this 21st century teaching method. Students will be the beneficiary of these kinds of improvements at the center for a long time to come.
