Blake Williams is a fifth-grade student at Moody Middle School. He is the 10-year-old son of Tina Williams of Moody and the late Stephen Williams. He has one sister, Emily, 14, a freshman at Moody High School.

Blake’s favorite subject is social studies, and his favorite teacher is Kristy DeShazo.

He attended Paine Elementary School in Trussville during kindergarten and first grade. He then transferred to Moody Elementary School.

“I like Moody Middle School because most of my friends are here,” Blake said. “I also go to church with some of them at Bethel Baptist Church. The teachers are nice also.”

His hobbies include collecting little cars and playing baseball. He also plays basketball and football with the Moody Youth League.

He looks forward to the day he can play baseball with the varsity Blue Devils and then go on to the University of Alabama, where he hopes to play collegiate baseball. He would love to play for the Atlanta Braves one day in the Major Leagues.

His advice to younger students is to be quiet in the hallway and understand that college is very important after high school.

“It’s very important to get a good education, and you have to study very hard,” Blake said.
